DELETE DATA

// DATA VS. ACCOUNT

This page is for deleting your data (food logs, history, preferences) while keeping your account open. If you want to remove your account entirely, use the delete account page instead.

// IN-APP (FASTEST)

You can clear most of your data directly from inside the app:

1. Open DEFICIT
2. Go to Settings
3. Under Data, use the relevant option (Clear Food Log, Clear History, Reset Goals)
4. Confirm

Local copies on your device can also be removed by deleting the app.

// REQUEST BY EMAIL

To request deletion of any server-side data tied to your account, email us from the address on your account:

Use the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We process requests within 30 days and will email you once your data has been removed.

// WHAT GETS DELETED

• Your food logs and history on our servers
• Your profile details (weight, targets, preferences)
• Usage data linked to your account (e.g. AI scan counts)

Your account itself, login credentials, and active subscription record remain intact.

// WHAT WE MAY RETAIN

To comply with legal, tax, and fraud-prevention obligations, we may retain a minimal record of transactions (e.g. App Store / Play Store purchase receipts) for the period required by law.

// THIS IS PERMANENT

Data deletion cannot be undone. Once your data is removed, it cannot be recovered. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle your data.
